CBIC notifies GSTR-1 due date for taxpayers with Turnover < Rs.1.5 Crores

The Central Government has released notification No. 74/2020 – Central Tax on October 15, 2020, on the recommendations of the GST Council. 

The announcement states that the due date of furnishing Form GSTR-1 has got extended for the registered taxpayers having their aggregate turnover up to Rs.1.5 crores in the preceding financial year or the current financial year, for the months starting from October 2020 to March 2021. 

According to the notification, the said registered persons shall furnish the details of outward supply of goods or services or both in FORM GSTR-1  for the quarter months of October 2020 to December 2020 on or before the due date January 13, 2021, and for the quarter months of January 2021 to March 2021, the return form will get filed up to April 13, 2021.
