MyGovIndia says in a Twitter post “Over 32.71 crore PANs linked with the Aadhaar.”

Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) issues the 12-digit biometric ID Aadhaar to a resident of India which gets linked to the 10-digit alphanumeric number called PAN which is allotted to a person, firm, company, etc. by the Income Tax (IT) department of India.

Date Extension for the linking of Aadhar Card with PAN Card to March 31, 2021, was announced earlier only and after this date all the PAN cards which are not linked with the Aadhar card will become inoperative.

Still, till June 29, 2020, the PAN allotment was standing at 50.95 Crore as per the data provided from a comparison chart by the government.

With Warm Regards,

CL Bureau.
