Because of this pandemic, the members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) are facing many difficulties consequently the Managing Committee of the Chartered Accountants Benevolent Fund (CABF) decided to provide Medical Financial Assistance to its Members and their dependents who are suffering from CORONA.

This aid would be available to those members who need help for the treatment of Covid-19 disease. The financial assistance amounting Rs.1.5 Lakhs will get sanctioned only for the cases of hospitalization and will be returnable to the CABF in the full amount if not used for Covid-19 treatment.

To whom will the grant be provided?

  • The grant will be available to those members and their dependents who are tested CORONA positive.
  • The grant will be available to those members and their dependents who are tested CORONA positive.
  • The grant will only be available in the case of hospitalization of patients.

Steps to apply for the grant provided by ICAI –

  • The members/dependents will file the request in prescribed Application Form-cum-Undertaking hosted on the website of the ICAI at the CABF Portal at the link https://cabf.icai.org/.
  • The application form will get submitted along with CORONA test report.

Some Important Points –

  • The proof for the expenses like a medical bill paid/unpaid will be submitted.
  • The grant amount if not used for hospitalized treatment then will be refunded in full to the CABF.
